Dear Anamesa Family,

It is with heavy hearts that I share the news of Rev. Dawn’s unexpected passing this morning at her home. I was with her on the phone when it happened, so she was not alone when she passed.

Needless to say, we are all heartbroken by this loss. The family has requested that no post be made on social media until all family members have been notified. I hope that you will honor their wishes. Please keep her son Alex and her family in your prayers during this difficult time.

It was at her request that there not be a funeral, but we will let you know if anything changes. She was a beloved friend to many of us. She leaves behind a giant void, not just in our church but in all of our hearts. May we find comfort in knowing she is in God’s eternal embrace.

With love and prayers,
Rev. Ian

Who Is Anamesa?

We are not your typical church. We are a collaborative network of autonomous churches and individuals who covenant together to practice radical hospitality and inclusion according to the the practices and biblical teachings of Jesus the Christ. As such, we welcome you to bring your questions, doubts, and fears to find rest and grow your faith in a non-judgmental community.

This collective was created to share the gospel of love, to help heal the brokenness in our communities and world, and to care for each other as Jesus has done for us. No matter where you have come from, or when or where you choose to gather you will find fellowship and learn to walk with intention and purpose in this sacred space we call Anamesa.

We are a church without walls. Or any other obstacles to get in the way of your faith journey.
